We thought that if we tried being more than friends that
we would be ok
And we were when we were together, but now...

Now you can't stand me and I'm just missing you
I hate hating you and I miss how things used to be
We can't even look at each other now

I know we won't be together ever again
And that's not what I'm asking for
I just want to be able to say hi in the halls
And hang out with all our friends again

Because you hate me, they hate me
It's stupid and it isn't fair
This is your fault too!

Everything's so messed up, it's all so different now
Remember when we all used to get together and stay out all night long?
Remember when we all hung out and watched movies?

When we were friends?
Before we liked each other, before we took it all too far
We should've stayed friends, just friends
