Side Winders

Give me bliss without ignorance
To hang round my neck
A little something added to my charms
Let me wrap it round my hips
Lie with it awhile among the stinging spurs

Give me intoxication without repercussion
Tangled among mahogany strands
Tugging forcefully with rewards
My willingness with your tongue.
Roots intertwined in glorious praise.

Give me life without pause
To quench the longing for death
Oh god how awe inspired it seemed
Before the fated night when chance met our gaze
And heat graced our necks.

Give me lust with integrity,
That extra little promise
To dangle 'tween the rise and fall of young innocence
To rest in the valley traced by God's divine wind
Which whispers across my jaw and lips.

Give me night without cruelty
The combining of breath
The touch of two celestial bodies,
Let us rest under the bountiful watch of Auriga
As we dance with Las Tres Marias

Give me substance without erosion
A definite variable to drown within
Our only conversation the staccato sighs
Which escape the ivory cages within our breasts
Barriers which lie shattered from our abusive hearts.

Give me anything without everything
Your word with every evil attached
The things not worth sharing but forever my song
Your doubts alone will fuel my flames
As they burn the bridges we've yet to cross
