Fish's Glide (Water)

by Michael   Dec 19, 2005

From the dawn
that creeps upon the Earth
I awake
and rise
to set forth and cross the Earth.

There
a cut placed on the Earth
runs through blood of blue
full of life itself.

I look at myself
nothing different
Iâ??m still human
limits that go far
but still doesn't exceed.

Then a fish
runs across it's world
as it was flying
it was more of a glide.

It seemed calmed
peaceful
not a care in the world
something a human can't achieve.

It swam away
but as it did
I held the water
with steady palms
feeling a sense of release
...I let go...
water and my spirit.

Like air
but still as swift
spirit glides across the cut
let upon the Earth.

I swim forth
and the water seems to barge down
wondering why
I fell down.

But somehow feeling
someone is holding me up
I notice only a waterfall
can only do that.

I advance to glorious places
to towns and villages
adventures never ceasing
nor ending in trouble.

But life
is not free at all...
...so I stay

I see
within my eye's limits
the fish goes on towards new adventures
only feeling no regret
but comforted
loving
yet tranquil.

However
I'm not a person who doesn't stay
but goes
I can make my own adventures if I try
with or without
a fish's glide.
