Torn Apart and Glued Back Together Again

So many pieces lost.
Some to little to even see.
It made a mess
When it fell.
When it shattered on the ground.
That already small part of me
That was already hard to see.
It broke once before
And I had to pick it off the floor.
To many times have it been hurt.
To many wounds for it to bear.
I'm to scared to try again.
To scared to let someone in.
I don't think,
I could take it,
If it's broken once again.
This time it's harder
To put the piece together again.
It doesn't seem to be working.
The forever breaking is winning.

All I wish,
All I want,
Is for the pieces to stay together.
For it all to stay whole.
For the part
That is so small,
But is twice as big,
Is growing to weak
To keep up this play.
Cause I don't think
My soul can breathe
If it shatters ever again.
