A Year Gone By In A Flash

by HighPerfection   Dec 19, 2005

Snow falling on an empty casket
Knife laying calm but restless
Heart beating still strong
She walks into school hiding scars and tears

The year coming to a close
We look back and remember
The good the bad and the attempted suicides
It may have taken a long time

Together we stand with no new wounds
Smiles on our faces
We look to the stars and wish hard
To the new year

To Happiness and a new beginning await
Like tears frozen in time
This year we will never forget
We have matured and changed more than words could ever say

When were 40 and have children of our own
We will look back on the pictures
We will have changed so much with time
But forever on this will be our 13th year

Dedicated to all my friends who were here for me in the probably worst year of my life
Thanks so much and have a happy new year
