An Hour With You

by Jeremy Edmondson   Dec 19, 2005

A minute with you is worth more that years with others
You make my heart flutter in many ways
To spend time with you makes me so blissful
To sit in a chair and hold your hand
To lift a armrest and wrap my arms around you
To look in your eyes and see only paintings of true beauty
If I had one wish on any day I would love to see them cry
To see that beauty run down your face
And all of a sudden be in your eyes again
I want to spend another hour with you
Show you the real me and see those tears
I want to show you the paintings we may paint
In the hour I would tell you of me and my troubles
And how all the others were just dead ends
With you I was told to follow my heart
And that is why I can say
In our first steps I see no end in sight
And I hope we never come to a rocky path
In the hour I learned that one can wait and still be happy
One can take three steps back and still be human
We known each other for such a modest amount of time
But you hold me up some how
When I see you I see a brilliant light
One I only saw in my dreams
One that darkens the sun
When I spend an hour with you it is like a day in haven
My angel is there
Ever so beautiful
Ever so caring
A minute with you is worth more that years with others
And I would fight for that privilege any day
I would fight for years just to have one more hour
Just one last hour
