Desperate Girl; Why do you stare?

I sit in my corner
In my comfiest clothes
But in another corner
A girl;with an expression that loathes

Her clothes are baggy
Too big and with no shape
She's obviously trying to hide herself
She's reading;her only escape

Talking to people
She can't help but fret
Cos she's hiding her personality
That she's not ready to show yet

Looking deeper into her eyes
I can see she's dead inside
There's nothing in there but submission
And a story of a girl who died

She huddles inside herself
As small as she can get
And she whispers to her bruised body
And she ignores every threat

The lines on her face
And the look in her eyes
Betray sadness untold
As this girl cries

Once there was something left
In between those sad sad eyes
but when nobody cares
That something dies

She's not in control of her body
She cries; she shakes; can't breathe; cant talk
Her wandering fingers pick at her clothes
Can't write; can't smile; can't walk

I hiss to her that I'm sorry
I don't want her to be this way
I'll do my best to help her
I'll stop everything looking Grey

But when i reach toward her
I want to help so much
I reach out to this desperate girl
And cold glass is all i touch

* i feel awful today, last night i dreamed i commited suicide, feeling very delicate, also, i already wrote this poem..much better..and it got lost. today need your comments more than ever. Please. X lonelynow X *
