The Death of old Mr Moore

by Bradley Peter   Dec 20, 2005

*to all those who've commented on my recent works: i apologize for not returning the comments, but i have been rather busy, but i will do my very best to reply to all. thanks*

lets close the windows, turn off the light
the night is getting cold
lets get in bed, and wrap up tight
and each other we can hold

tonight we can dream of the past
of the good times we had
for this night, shall be my last
though i don't at all feel sad

been together, for sixty years
and i don't regret a thing
that perfect day, we both had tears
that day you wore this ring

now i know your sad, but listen to me
tonight lets just pretend
lets just be, how we'd usually be
and forget tonight's my end

we built a life, and had such fun
i thank you for that my love
though my soul won't see the sun
it shall wait for you above
