Childhood Dreams

by Scrittore   Dec 20, 2005

You could hold a shooting star, close you eyes
Make a wish and then throw it into the sky
But don’t hold your breath, the star will never return
For dreams and wishes are just of the fairytale make-believe world

We are raised as children to believe that we could fly
Reach the stars if we would just try
The sky is the limit but you will never reach it
Gravity has us grounded to the floor
