Waiting

by Jeremy Edmondson   Dec 21, 2005

No other man of my time has waited beneath the clouds in such amazement
No other man has looked to the stars and wished on everyone some more than once
Any man, no matter how ignorant, would not pass by a flower like yourself with or with out your beauty
Everyman should know that one day god will bring back true beauty to the world
The green trees will be of fall color all year and the green stem of you will be as bright as your bud of your flower
The ground will be of gold and the sky of a royal magnificence
No other man has waited this long
No other man has anticipated this coming
To see all people in their true selves
To chase hatred back deep into hell
And as we leave with Jesus throw a match to the earth and let out hell
To see there once lived a man that died to save me from that flame
To carry me home to see my maker
To help me set the world ablaze to cleanse it for a new life for all
I believe when that fire is done burning there will be no charred remains
There will me no more demons
There will be the people who he died for
Still there with no fire at all
Yet this time they will come to him
For this day I am waiting
