Trapped Feelings

It hurts so bad to see him there,
next to someone who doesn't even care.
It hurts even more to hold it all in,
not being able to express my true feelings to him.
How can I make him understand,
that I'd do anything just to hold his hand.
That's how strong these trapped feelings are within.
Why did all this have to begin?

If only he knew, I cry myself to sleep.
Wondering how it would feel to no longer weep.
That's basically what I do all day,
if only there was another way.
Everytime I think of him, I feel so weak.
Sometimes it's even hard to speak.
All I want is for us to have the same desire.
Love and want for one another.

But it's too late now, I took too long.
Now I have to be extra strong.
She took my place,
she won the race.
He wasn't able to understand,
that I was the one that would of done anything to hold his hand.
I guess that's what happens when you hold it all in.
When you don't let out the trapped feelings within.

    This is a great poem i LOVE it! That is exactly how i feel about my best guy friend....ive been so close to him but he's dating this girl who lives in a different city and they dont even get to see each other and ive known him longer...this poem just wraps up my feelings for him....keep on writing ill be reading =] 5/5 all the way!!

    Wow, this is a great poem, honestly. I know exactly how you feel and can really relate to it. I guess thats what makes good poems, being able to reach out to reader and make them feel and relate to what you are feeling. Just keep doing what your doing and you'll make many more amazing poems like this one.
