You hold me so close

by Millions   Dec 21, 2005

You hold me so close
As if you're scared that I would run
Your arms wrapped around me
Like I'm the only one

Your chin above my head
Holding in my fears
Your hands so gentle
To wipe away my tears

Your kiss a touch of life
Melting on my lips
Easily brushing my world
With your limber finger tips

The smile, you smile so often
Splashes sunshine on my skies
The warmth you opened within me
The way you exiled all my lies

Your whispering voice
Inside of my ear
Telling me things
I've waiting to hear

Your body supporting mine
As I lean against your chest
"I love you," you say
And even silence does the rest

Your shoulders such comfort
To weeping eyes like mine
The way they hold me, just right
Time after time after time

There's no better way to spend my time
And there's nothing I'd rather do
There's nowhere I think I'd rather be
Than right here next to you
