Distorted Memories

by LadyPearl   Dec 22, 2005

Immortal beings whisk away in Hell
bring up dreams of hidden veils
humans in blood not too well
blown away by unknown gales

A time when we lived to kill
for the flesh and the pain
And the dying land was ill
for bloodshed has been lain

Swords buried beneath the ground
and cries rising from the sky
like a graveyard, without a sound
only the dead's agony cry

Families torn and broken apart
burning deep within fire's harm
love taken with broken hearts
destroyed in nature's alarm

oh, what dark ages still lives here
and the pondering wickedness
dangers aroused seems so near
and still it remains, it's eeriness
