The Girl

by vanished   Dec 22, 2005

I saw a girl today;
she looked very lonely
Her face was light and pale,
her eyes were red and swollen from many tears she shed.
There were still tears in her eyes not yet released.
as I stared upon her I felt very sad.
Her cheeks were hollow and colorless,
she was nothing special to gaze upon at.
In her eyes was the look of loneliness, the absence of passion.
At the instant I saw it, the sadness had vanished;
I wanted to tell her the unhappiness wouldn\'t last,
but when I stretched out my hand, only my reflection reached back.
