Lose Control

The harshest wind brings tears of ice
I'm calling out your name
You eyes look through my soul you see
Inside is so much shame

How hard it is to hide from you
I still don't understand
How can pain bring so much love
Between a girl and such a man?

My darkest fears I poured on you
And still you held me tight
You never judged nor questioned me
Although wrong it felt so right

It's been so long since days of us
And all we were has changed
You look at me so differently
Our friendships' not the same

I catch you staring in my eyes
First uncomfortable it seems
But as I stare back I'm swept away
As if stuck in the sweetest dream

We lay under the blackest night
So innocent at first
Then I felt your wrongful touch
Most fearful sin the worst

I'm sorry that I lost control
With every kiss so sweet
But I loved the way you loved me wrong
Your eyes I couldn't meet

I remember way back when
you loved me like a sister
Never thinking we'd kiss like this
As if all those years we missed it

If only we could turn back time
Our friendship innocent and true
If only I could keep you near
For the best of me is in you
