The Girl Called Sad...

I see this young girl
in her early teens
she looks so sad and scared
like she wants to be free

Shes sitting in a corner
crying her eyes out
wanting to escape,
i wonder what she about

I want to know whats wrong
and why she looks so sad
i think she need a role model
shes been left without a dad

Her face is not a color
only a brightly colored pale
i try to hear her speak
but here voice sounds so stale

She begins to raise her head
and i see eyes stained with tears
i can tell that shes been hurt
year after year after year

I try to grab her hand
and help her let it out
deep inside she's screaming
she tries to turn around

she looks into the mirror
and tries to come out
but when she looks up
only her reflection reaches out
