Poetry is an escape from reality
Its like music
with its own beat
its own rhythm
if you can let it
it'll take you to another place,
to a fairy tail
or a sinners tavern
it can take you to the bottom of a beer bottle
It could take you to the end of a knife right into a broken heart
it can take you to large heart of an abused child
or to a lovers secret
it can take you to a boys pride
or to the confusion of a young girls mind
it can take you to the sky
or can drop you on the cold ground
it could warm your soul
or chill your bones
it can love
it can hate
but it always comes straight from the heart
it can hurt
or heal
poetry is art
poetry is anything in the world
