Death's Kiss

by Syn   Dec 23, 2005

If you feel you want to die,
Don't slit your wrist.
Because its not up to you,
When your given death's kiss.

Yes, it will be hard
But this much is true.
If i was able to do it,
Then so should you.

Keep your head held high,
Its all I can say.
It will better your odds,
To find a brighter way.

When you feel life is hell,
Look to the sky.
Ask God your questions,
When you wonder "Why?"

Broaden your horizons,
Cast away your fears.
Hold in the heartbreak,
Don't cry hopeless tears.

Just keep holding strong,
Hours deep in prayer.
Keep yourself together,
God is always there.

-An inspiring and heartfelt piece, David. Both the rhyme and imagery work very well throughout the piece and you've structured it well.

God is watching us all, David, you're right. But we needn't spend hours praying each day if we feel he is not listening. There was a reason why we are all taught the words 'Thank you' & ‘sorry’ at a very young age. :)

Wow hunni that is really really great message. This was so so so good. So many more people should read this poem and learn from it. We only have one life and one time to enjoy it, it's not our job to cut it short when we think we at done. I have a poem with the same idea as well called Suicide Through Someone Else's Eyes so I agree with you completely.
