Strength

by k i k i   Dec 23, 2005

Gripping your hands so tight,
You fight off the devil in me.
Stop me from being defeated,
By my own self.
Carry me high above the evil,
Shaking off any residue.

Arms wrapped around me so close,
I can hardly breathe.
It's your way of fighting,
A sign of strength within.
Blood won't stop flowing,
You plug it close with your lips.

Stop me from dying,
And leaving you here alone.
I'm sorry; I couldn't help it,
There was so way it would work.
I had to be like her,
To have everything.

Eyes now wiped clear of tears.
Arms now free from bloodstains.
Realisation that you're my boy,
And that you won't leave.
Strength to save your lover,
When my heart is screaming.
