Teenage Prose

by Lor   Dec 23, 2005

Push me from your bed.
His bedroom eyes have lost their sparkle
Our stars are fading together
Cos we bound ourselves in our stereotypes.
Telling lies, as the truth hurts too much.
Using words to mock our lives.
*
We'll burn out together
Sleeping with glitter and waking with glass
I haven't written us an ending yet,
I'm still stuck on chapter three
Working out which character I'm supposed to be.
*
Perhaps we should just close this book
Tell our lives in teenage prose
Dying roses with silver bullets
And His bedroom eyes have lost their sparkle
We're burning out, cos we don't have the strength to carry on
Too many people to try and figure out.
*
We'll burn out together
Sleeping with glitter and waking with glass
I haven't written us an ending yet,
I'm still stuck on chapter three
Working out which character I'm supposed to be.
*
Cos we bound ourselves in our stereotypes
telling our lives, as the truth hurts too much
Perhaps we should just close this book
And tell our dreams in teenage prose
