Sacrifice for you

by SarahBeth   Dec 29, 2003

Being with you has taken so much
It really consumes my life
Everything about us
Has taken some sacrifice

I'm not saying that I regret it
I wouldn't change a single thing
But sometimes things get rough
Like we're hanging by a string

I gave up my entire family
Then you had to give up yours
Then twelve monthes later
We're having a baby girl

I've stood by you in court
Waiting the whole time
Never being untrue
Because I knew that you were mine

We know that we're in love
But our families just don't care
Inter-racial dating
Isn't tolerated there

We say that it seems ignorant
But it's something we can not change
But even if I could take it back
I'm glad things aren't the same

Because my life without you would be so lonely
It's only now that I know
True love can make you feel so different
It can realy fill your soul

Even though they don't understand
And there's a baby on the way
My love for you grows stronger
Each and every day
