She Promised Not To Drink and Drive

I was only planning on having a few
but people just kept giving me more
i new that what i was doing was wrong
but i was having such a good time

the night went on and on
and the drinks kept on as well
before i knew it
my speech was sleard
my head was spinning
could hardly concentrate at all

"Police" someone yelled
i scrabbled for my keys
so i could make a quick getaway
so i wouldn't be seen

i got into the car
put the keys into the ignition
i assured myself I'll be fine
homes not far away

winding down a dark stretch of road
putting on my lip gloss
the lip gloss falls from my grip
i bend down to grab it

the bends coming up
way to fast
didn't have time to swerve

cars all smashed
so am i
the taste of blood in my mouth
searing pain all over my body
i hear a painful scream
someones rushing over
to see the ghastly scene

i hear them sobbing
another persons there
she's gone i hear them say

an ambulance comes to take me away
my parents are standing together
my mum in the arms of dad
crying over my body
i hear dad say...

...'she promised not to drink and drive"....
