The Girl In The Mirror

I look in the mirror,
and see a girl.
I don't know who she is,
but somehow I wish I did.

I see the sadness in her eyes,
the pain she's holding back.
I wish I knew why she's crying,
And why her soul is dying.

I look a little closer,
And see something she posses.
She longs to be loved
To feel like she's enough.

Then I realize something frightening,
The girl in the mirror.
Is not only unhappy,
but the girl in the mirror is me...
