This couldn't be me

by Ly Cai   Dec 24, 2005

The bitter silence of the lake,
sent shivers done my spine.
A leaf fell, making ripples on it's surface,
I looked, and it stopped. I saw my reflection.
I looked different somehow, maybe it's a mistake,
but it couldn't be, It was me, in my own design.
I just stared, confused, lost, speechless,
and my mind kept running non-stop with questions.
This couldn't me, no it couldn't, maybe i'm not fully awake,
but it feels so real, I can hear my heart beating it's bloodline.
This isn't me, it shouldn't be me. But I still feel the darkness,
I turned around and saw a door, there was light.......
......... and it opened.
