I Love you...as well

Ice drips on the tip of every roof corner
And the clouds cry every now and then.
Yet in warmth and love my heart stands,
And strengthens when your soul passion sends.

I thought I had a special place in your heart.
You gave me the upmost importance.
And when everyone missed a fact of me,
Only you showed no sign of ignorance.

But near the end of a beautiful day,
You broke a promise you intended to keep:
To never leave me hanging, above all extremities.
All I could do was put my head down and weep.

So painful was my unexpected loneliness,
That the angels joined in my sorrow.
They sang, in tears, a slow sad song,
While giving me hopes of a better tomorrow.

Then I turned to leave my past behind,
But saw you came back. And before there was anything to do,
You said "I left because I was afraid.
I was afraid because...I love you."
