Letting Go

Hold her tight and don't let go
Hide this pain she cannot show,
Look beyond her broken eyes
To a heart that's paralyzed,
Down her cheeks come salty tears
Caused by her confused fears,
You fooled her with your sweet lies
She can't stop loving you even though she tries,
Her laughs are forced, her smiles are fake
She hides the razors for her own sake,
They know she can't hold on much longer
She knows in the end she'll be stronger,
So she'll let go no matter how hard it seems
And she'll be comforted by her dreams,
Oh but people can't you see
That this girl...is really me?
