Must Be (Happy Holidays!!!)

In night
snow flakes sway
down to weary earth.

I see
trees of lights
and magnificence
holding ornaments
that represent memories.

I gaze upon the town
dimmed lights
but laughter by the fire
candle lights flicker
in windows
showing
the happiness of life.

My mantel
full of cards
and figures of toy soldiers
and vicious rats
telling a story
long before past.

Mistletoe under doorway
tree strung up high
you by my side
grasping my hand
holding me
warmth entwining us.

Snowman advance
through backyards
stars placed
on top of trees
snow dances on this night...

...it must be Christmas...
