White Christmas

by Jessi   Dec 24, 2005

The family gathers
At the dinner table
With prayers spreading
Around the room

One little girl
And one little boy
Both prayed for something
And said, if they told,
it would never come true
.
The family ate dinner
All were happy and bright
The children knew
A miracle would happen
Tonight.

When they finished,
They looked to the right
And in their excitement
Something filled them with delight

There were little white flakes
Dancing in the wind
Falling downward, which made them seem to grin

They glistened and gleamed
Such a beautiful sight
The children just laughed,
"God sent us a White Christmas tonight."
