Soul Reaver

by RainbowSlider   Dec 25, 2005

You think the peeking tom was bad
but you haven't seen me yet;
I am the soul reaver.

I can peek into the soul
and see the tender morsel;
Walls can't keep me out.

In darkness or light
I peer in and see you;
Yes, there you are.

Now don't get paranoid
or try to hide from me;
I am coming for you.

When you least expect it
there I will be looking;
I will be examining your soul.

Oh, don't worry I won't rob
or even try to deceive;
I am just taking what I need.

The taste of the soul
is really delicious;
I just take a nibble.

A virgin soul is nutritious
and there is nothing like it;
It is a soul reaver's paradise.

    The title draws my attention and I knew I had to read it. It is an incredible write. It is dark and yet naughty in a way. I don't feel scare but rather I feel that I had to have a taste of this soul reaver. The ending left me wanting for more, but I guess that's what makes this poem more attractive. The end is like a start to another nightmare. Anyway, I've enjoyed it. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. =)
