The ring on my finger

I look at the ring on my finger
and i think of you and me
i stare at the ring on my finger
and into the future i see

i see us happy together
living the life we live
having two kids to tend to
and giving all that we need to give

living a life so wonderful
and feeling the way we feel
for our every waking moment
using our love to help us heal

but it probably wont happen like that
though i so wish that it were true
and we will keep trying and trying
until the day i can be with you

Ive known you for quite some time now
though we've only met twice
ever since then Ive liked you
your perfect your sweet and your nice

and try to convince myself untrue
