No Meal

by k i k i   Dec 26, 2005

Taking a look in front of her,
Scars run up and down her slim body.
No one will be able to tell her to stop,
A large image of herself in mind.

Mirror can't tell right from wrong,
She just thinks it's over.
Eating as much as she wants,
They notice no difference.

Sickening that she goes back and forth,
Always wiping her mouth.
I know her secret too well,
With bones sticking out.

Chucking one after another,
She won't stop until she's happy.
Nothing has changed though,
Just a happier mind.

Foul smell, a bitter scent,
Why can't she just smile?
A perfect body,
Alteration too dangerous.

Soul broken with no strength,
It's been drained from her.
Trying to cut the excess,
Just makes it more of a maze.

Dirty dishes, knives and cloths,
She leaves it until morning arrives.
Awakes to the new possibility,
That she might not make it.

Eyes swell, skin so white,
What's keeping her alive?
Rushed in point of need,
There's little time left.

Shove a tube down,
A fragile lifeline.
Force the nutrients in,
Make it stay and change her.

Little time of saviour,
Realisation that helps needed.
No understanding of the truths,
That nobody likes their image.

Time will come when she will thank them,
Years ahead when she can smile.
If it wasn't for them,
She wouldn't be here.

Still, no acceptance that she,
Had a problem in the mind.
Looking back, they donâ??t know,
Why it was her who did the crime.

Only injuring herself,
Consequences hers only to live with.
Cuts starting to fade,
Mind set in accepting that girl.

One of many who needs help,
The little girl I see in the mirror, me.
