There once was a girl,
who was so dear
she dried all of our tears
then she turned out to be what we fear

she had to leave when she was just twelve
i wonder where she know dwells
i hope its in a better place

i am sorry to say
i still havent been to your grave
but your father goes everyday
he even buried you with all your favorite things
to some people it may seem silly,
but you were afraid of the dark
so we buried you with your night light close to your heart

when the pain eases a little
