Sick Girl

by k i k i   Dec 27, 2005

Ill and little time to spare,
A young girl so small.
Breathing in drugs that,
Will soon make her sleep.
Drift off to another world,
Where she will be full of beauty.

Judged by the looks,
Colour of her hair.
It was too much,
For this little girl.
Smashed many mirrors,
Hiding every chance given.

Smelling the roses,
All was sweet and surreal.
She wanted her life to,
Be as perfect as this.
Blooming and fragile,
With every emotion taken to heart.

Now bed ridden,
No chance to smell them.
Pink buds growing in,
The warm summer sun.
It's her inspiration,
She'll pull through again.

Not the first time she's been here,
Cold and needing a boost.
Tubes running through fluids,
And a loving blood supply.
Smiling like there's nothing wrong,
Scars under the covers hide.

Can't accept there's no perfect,
Just a wish there was.
Mind under control,
Trying to grasp this.
Time taking its toll,
She wants to give in, again.

Swabs and other medical matter,
Surrounds her every move.
They can't take a slight chance,
She's under attack.
Trying to kill off the girl,
That just wants to shine.

Locked alone, white walls scream,
A punishment for not saying goodbye.
Bed being her only friend,
She sleeps off the pills.
In the corner, weeping,
She wants out.
