Mother

by Bill Turner   Dec 27, 2005

Sitting there upon the bank
Feet dangling below my knees
Having you to thank
If you please

All those years putting up with me
All the wretched things I did
Not once ever letting me be
No matter how well I hid

I was such a rotten son
Creating so much stress and strife
If there was trouble, I was the one
You never turned your back on my life

No matter how horrible my sin
You were always right there
Supporting me yet again
Showing how much you care

Visiting you where you rest
Telling you about my life
You are still the very best
Listening about my strife

Leaving your fishing hole
Smile upon my face
Moving towards being whole
Just visiting this place

So many answers in my heart
That had not been there before
Time to make a new start
Renewed at my very core

Life has dealt me many a brother
I can tell my troubles to
You are the greatest mother
In case I forgot, I love you

Oh my Lord Bill what a BEAUTIFUL write and I have never been more honest telling someone that! I mean WOW!...(I saw the pictures by the way and read what you said..those were beautiful as well)..But this poem once again made me cry and was a heads up to me to treat my mother well incase I lose her just any ol' day! Your such a terrific poet as I have said before!
    With love always,

A Mother's love has no boundaries....or will it ever stop. She still loves you today and watches from above. Beautiful...

This is beautiful Bill... A mother's love is like no other. You've done a wondeful job of explaining how much your mother loved you. Truly beautiful, well done :)
