Innocent Kiss

by Katie Bennett   Dec 27, 2005

Tears rain down my face like an unstoppable storm
Blood flows from these wrists as puddles begin to form
These painful little raindrops carry a story in their decent
I can point out everyone of them and tell you what they meant
Your kiss still lingers on my lips and just wont go away
I feel the need to dream of you and come what dreams they may
I can still feel your warmth from when you held me tight
Ive fallen in love so deep and yet I still dont want to fight
But this emptiness, it burdens me, as I wait for your return
I hope to God with all my heart, that this time, I dont get burned
And as my eyes are crying and my wrists are bleeding, all I can ask is this;
How did such heartache come from such an innocent kiss?
