Flame

by k i k i   Dec 29, 2005

Caught on fire with a simple splint,
Beaming with a heated light.
Treasured memories,
Photos that can’t be replaced.

Trashed everything owned and loved,
Nothing will bring it back.
All to ashes,
Looking back on a past life.

House foundations broken,
A home with a heart, now dead.
Burnt, a stamp,
This is our land.

Green grass that we ran on,
Now black and bloodied with bodies.
Family of five lost their lives,
So innocent, so guilty.
