Her Eyes

by Sierra Rae   Dec 29, 2005

You see her everyday there with her glistening eyes
never thinking they could shine from tears cried every night
She's not the kind of girl one would presume would be upset
always flirting around and laughing, giving luck to all she'd met.
She blocks your soul away with her reflecting eyes.
In them you see your good side-no cruelness or lies.
She can always find the spark to make her smile seem so true.
While most other people would just break down and cry their soul to you.
You've never seen inside her heart which used to be so pure.
So you can't even begin to imagine the pain never to be cured.
Her eyes reflect the world which she was pushed to understand
trying to get along instead just shoved into the sand.
She's long since learned just how to care, comfort, and console.
making her a mother to all the hearts her eyes behold.
At night upon the roof among the stars and just herself
she sits by the chimney, smoking, just despising other's health.
inside she lie on the cold, hard floor in a mixture of blood and tears.
puking up her problems after years of liquor and beer
the next day at school you need a friend but sadly miss her presence.
this precious baby girl has finally made her way to heaven.
at the funeral you no longer see those sparkling radiant eyes
which you never once assumed were glistening from tears cried every night.

Another well done poem. I don't think you lost any 'writer's touch' at all. You seem like a really strong writer whom I could probably learn alot from. Again I have no complaints, but just so this is not like every other post, I thought I'd tell you my favourite line:
making her a mother to all the hearts her eyes behold.

    Greating wording!
