Wow, this was amazing. It got the point across. I can also relate to this. I get very angry when I hear people generalize those who self-harm and say that we all cut for attention. I never can wear short sleeves... I'm always hiding my scars. But unfortunately, there are people who cut because they think it's cool. I myself have had the misfortune of coming across a girl who cut herself just for attention. I didn't know she was doing it for attention at the time, but I realized that she walked around with her bare arms, and she showed it off to everyone. I've written a poem about her, it's called "Cutters For Attention: I Fell For It Again". I think you'll enjoy reading it because it's about those who cut for attention.

I agree with you. I hate when I see what people say about cutters...If we really were seeking attention, we would be like "GUESS WHAT I DID EARLY!" And then go tell the whole world about it. Great poem. This is the first poem I have read on here about this topic of "cutters as attention seekers" Really good job. Great flow and I couldn't stop reading it once I started.
