Lost

Lost in a sea of mystery,
i wonder why it happened to me,
i feel as if i am lost,
why am i having to pay this terrible cost

so confused with life,
cutting me as hard as a knife,
was it me
was it you,
was it us two?

i still sit a stare just thinking,
no moving an inch, not even blinking,
life around me just fading,
slowly cascading,

why we have to suffer,
just because of someone known as a lover
why do these events take place,
this life's way of punching me in the face

being in love is so calm,
sometimes too great its like a buzzing car alarm
but sometimes it can fade,
it then hurts you as deep as a blade,

so I'm lost in the emotion
all that time and devotion
gone and lost
now its me thats suffering and paying the terrible cost
