Direction

by Sarah Ramsey   Dec 30, 2005

Where are you going? What are you doing?
The answers are unclear.
What is in your future? What are your plans?
These questions I fear.
Do you have direction? Do you have a clue?
Direction? North? South? East? West?
Will you make something of yourself?
I will do my best.

Look, stop with the questions
Don't be afraid.
I may not have the answers,
But my path is laid.
Whether I choose left or whether I choose right,
The choice is mine to make.
I know you want to help me,
But this journey is mine to take.
You may be disappointed, who knows?
You may be proud,
This life is mine to live,
And I plan to live it loud.
