"Mr. Perfect"

There was once a girl
That lived in a sad and lonely world
All she wanted was someone to love
She prayed for someone special from above
She was a gorgeous girl
But always ended up getting hurt
All the guys she met were jerks
She just wanted someone to love her for her
One day as she was walking
She saw a gorgeous guy
They ended up talking
But she promised herself, she wouldn’t like
She knew what would happen
He had one thing on his mind
And she’d believe him
And be left behind
So she gave him her number without even thinking
He called her a lot
And she always had fun talking
But she always had in her mind
“I can’t like him”
Because a gorgeous guy like him
Would for sure tempt her in
So she kept her distance
Slowly liking him
She would hang out with him in an instant
Knowing what would happen
He told her he liked her
And she said it back
She didn’t feel better
Getting that load off her back
She promised herself she wouldn’t fall
But she couldn’t keep the promise at all
They were the cutest couple
The world’s ever seen
She didn’t think she was in trouble
Because he would never ever be mean
He treated her right
She thought if she broke the promise this once
It would be alright
He swore to her he would never do her wrong
She tried not to believe him
Slowly coming along
She said, “it’s okay as long as I don’t fall in love”
As she tried to stay strong
But she still melted with every kiss and hug
She couldn’t give up after this long
The gorgeous guy told the girl
“I’m falling in love with you”,
And, “you are my world.”
She said the same
Without any shame
She broke her own promise
No longer being cautious
The perfect guy changed her world
She used to be sad and lonely
Now she was HIS girl
She thought she’d live happily ever after
Until her perfect world crashed
Very soon after
He turned this girl into a woman
And walked away
She thought he was the perfect man
Until his beauty and charm washed away
It was too late to give up and move on
She was attached to him
And couldn’t see herself moving on
She reminded herself of why she didn’t trust
Because every single time
It just turned into lust
She thought he was perfect
And wouldn’t do her wrong
But gorgeous Mr. Perfect
Had lied all along
She gave him all she had
And he ripped it away fast
She broke her promise
And would be hard live again
She wasn’t at all cautious
And had to deal with the pain
She went back to her old life
Before she met HIM
She thought she’d be his wife
But he just lured her in
