The big bug

by Len Vanek   Dec 31, 2005

The windows all open
gentle breezes drifting in
birds on the ground
eating bread that you threw
there chasing a bug
the size of a ball
flew in the window
scampered up the wall
looking at him then
had to be the granddadddy of all
he took of like a streak
for parts unknown
the wife in the background
get it out of my home
swatting and kicking
he gave quite a fight
then out the window it flew
into the night
