Nowhere to Turn

by JL   Dec 31, 2005

Walking to school
Hold my head up high
Ignore the rude remarks
I look to the sky

Where do you go
When you do not belong?
Where do you hide
When you are an outcast?

Standing alone
While everyone chats
Tried to fit in once
Everyone left when I sat

Where do you go
When you do not belong?
Where do you hide
When you are an outcast?

Returning home
to a 'loving' drunk
A few hits later
My spirit has sunk

Where do you go
When you do not belong?
Where do you hide
When you are an outcast?

Go to sleep
bruised and hungry
Scared to look in the mirror
Afraid of what I might see

Where do you go
When you do not belong?
Where do you hide
When you are an outcast?

Awoken by screams
About how I should die
I run out of the house
And look to the sky...

Where do you go
When you do not belong?
Where do you hide
When you are an outcast?

This was very good. you described feelings so well and the repetitiveness of the one verse was almost necessary when i got to the end of it. 5/5

Very powerful peice brilliantly written and composed. there is so muchh feeling within the words very strongly expressed so that the reader can feel what you felt when writing, really shows that you are a tallented writer when you can invoke feelings within your readers lie this peice can.
