My Boy

When he left
all i saw was darkness
he is still gone
but the light is coming soon
this new year has passed
and i think...perhaps
i can see through the haze
and into the future
for what has happened is now n the past
i loved him so much
and his soul is still with me
i look in front and still he is all i see
He was my son
the little mini me
i sing to him my boy
his favourite song
and still i know he loves me
i lost him so tragically
and yet i am still breathing
i am thankful for what i have
this beautiful family around me
he is still missing
his absence outstanding
but still i ask
why he left with no understanding
i love him so much
he was my boy
i sang to him that favourite song
all night long
i would sing that song
until my throat would run dry
just for one moment in this world alive
one more moment with my sweet little boy

this is a dedication to someone who lost their son so tragically. I can only imagine what he must be going through. Watch over him XxX
