I Wish

by SmallSurprise   Jan 1, 2006

Unlocked was the door, I gave you the key
But you'll never know how much you hurt me

Words are just words, but actions speak louder
You broke my heart and it crumbled to powder

Forever and for always, deep inside I wish:
I wish I could give you back that last kiss.

I wish you still loved my, you were my other half,
Without you my life is like unsolvable math

I wish you knew how much pain I'm now in
Heartbreak should be the eighth deadly sin

I wish you would look at me when I walk by
One question remains, a single word: Why?

I wish you knew how much I still cared
I let you in close, as close as I dared

I wish I could yell, scream, pull my hair
But nothing I do would make you be there

I wish to tell you one last thing,
You were a part of me, my everything

Life moves on, I'm almost there
Slowly getting over you...one day I won't care
