Always silent
Yet very loud
With its eye-popping color
That brightens the room
Using only three soft petals

It has simple beauty
That makes each one unique
The dew drops on the leaves
Are the finishing touches
On Mother Nature's art pad

Veins weave in intricate patterns
Like a child's squiggles
From art class

It's sweet scent
Fills the room
As a warm greeting
To all who enter

But you see
You've never seen their full radiance
That's the beauty of it all
