Freedom 11-11-04

by Amanda Clayburn   Jan 1, 2006

I walked on the battlefield
You could see all those poor men
Serving their honor for this country
They couldn't hide their faces anymore
The ghost men and women
Brother against brother
Father against brother
I could hear the cannons blasting
Can you hear the children crying?
For there long lost family
Now they are empty
You could smell the smoke
See the blooded ground
I try to help but this is my history
Can you hear their boots stumping
To win our freedom
No one ever knew how it felt that day
When you and loved one past away
You can't stop the war
It keeps on going
Till someone has their freedom
