Daddy's little girl

by snow   Jan 1, 2006

I was daddy's little girl
I idolised you so
I wanted to do what you did
To go where ever you would go

I look back through my photos
And the memories they hold
Each one of them means so much to me
More than the purest gold

Times have changed I'm all grown up
To big to sit on your knee
You've got another little girl now
She sits where I used to be

Things haven't been easy lately
There's been stresses and strains
But mistakes were made by both of us
We're equally to blame

I love you daddy and always will
No matter what life brings
Ill always be your little girl
Who smiles and laughs and sings

Who knows maybe one day
I'll have children of my own
And settle down get all grown up
With a husband and a home

But no matter how old I get
No matter how far apart
I'll always be your little girl
Deep down inside my heart
