No Happy Ending

**This Was The First Poem I Ever Wrote**

He Was A Guy I Thought I Knew
The Whole Thing I Had Planned Out
No Fights, Just Love
Nothing To Be Worried About

Then The Confusion Came
Everything Was Going Wrong
The Relationship I Thought Would Last
I Knew Wouldn't Be For Long

What Kind Of Fairy Tale Is This?
Every Day I Thought
The Usual Hugs And Laughter
Instead Became Fighting A Lot

Finally The Day Came
It Ended And I Was Weeping
Everything Felt Like A Dream
But The Thing Is, I Wasn't Sleeping

Open Arms And Shoulders
My Friends Were All Lending
I Was Hurt And Upset
For There Was No Happy Ending

It's Been A While Now
Since The Dilemma And Pain
Continuing Through Life The Same
Pals Still Guiding Me Through The Rain

I Always See Him During The Day
Hanging Out, Talking To His Friend
He Moved On So Quickly And I Still Haven't
Is This How It's Supposed To End?

We're No Longer Friends
Of Course, I Try And Cope
But Just Because There Was No Happy Ending
Doesn't Mean I Have Given Up Hope
