The Right Thing

by CHAOTIC   Jan 2, 2006

I Walk Down The Long, Busy Hallway
Out Of The Corner Of My Eye, I See Him
He Tries To Get My Attention
Flashing Me A Smile A Mile Wide
Oh, The Memories That Fill My Head..

The Nights Spent, Warm In His Arms
Contemplating The Meaning Of Life
Our Love Was Strong And Beautiful
Like The Sun Rising In Early Morning Skies
Then I Remember It All Crashing Down
When I Saw His Lips Upon Another
His Startled Expression As He Pulled Away
Tears Running Down My Face As I Ran
From The Nightmare I Just Faced
When The Phone Rang, His Voice On The Other End
I Forgave Him, I Loved Him Too Much
But As The Days Passed
I Realized That The Magic Was Gone
So I Ended It, Without Looking Back
I Knew It Was The Right Thing To Do

I Smile Back At Him
Feeling A Tug At My Heart..
But I Still Think
That It Was The Right Thing To Do
